About Herpes Treatment Report
Last updated: May 6, 2026
Who we are
Herpes Treatment Report is an independent editorial site that publishes personal stories, research summaries, and reader-submitted accounts about living with the herpes simplex virus (HSV-1 and HSV-2). Our goal is to give people who have been diagnosed — or who suspect they may have been — a calmer, more honest place to learn what other people have actually tried.
What we publish
- First-person stories from people living with HSV-1 or HSV-2
- Plain-language summaries of recent research on outbreak management
- Reader Q&A on diagnosis, disclosure, dating, and daily symptom management
- Editorial reviews of supplements, lifestyle approaches, and over-the-counter products that readers have asked about
We do not provide medical diagnoses or prescribe treatment. We are not a substitute for a licensed healthcare provider.
How we choose what to cover
Most of our coverage is reader-driven. When enough readers ask us about a specific approach, supplement, or topic, we look into it and publish what we find. We talk to people who have tried it, look at the available research, and share both what worked and what didn't. We try to be transparent when something is anecdotal, when results are mixed, and when something is well-supported by clinical evidence.
How we make money
This site is supported through a combination of advertising and affiliate commissions. When a reader clicks a link to a product or program from our site and makes a purchase, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to the reader. We disclose affiliate relationships where they apply. Advertising and affiliate revenue does not change our editorial process — we cover what readers ask us about, regardless of whether a commercial relationship exists.
Our editorial standards
- Personal stories are published with the subject's permission. Names may be changed for privacy.
- We do not claim that any supplement or lifestyle change cures herpes. Herpes is a lifelong viral infection. Approaches we cover are described as readers have experienced them.
- Where we cite research, we link to the source so readers can read it themselves.
- We update articles when new information becomes available, and note the date of the most recent update at the top of each piece.
Health disclaimer
Content on this site is for general informational purposes. It is not medical advice. Herpes (HSV-1 and HSV-2) is a lifelong infection with no known cure. The approaches we cover are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider before starting any new supplement, changing your medication, or making decisions about your treatment plan.
